KW Energy Workmanship Warranty
We warrant our installation workmanship for 10 years from the Permission-to-Operate (PTO) date. This covers any defect or failure caused by KW Energy's installation labour, mounting, wiring, sealing, or commissioning — including the cost of parts and labour to remedy.

Roof Penetration Leak Warranty
We warrant any roof penetration we create against leaks for 10 years. This is independent of your existing roof warranty and survives roof replacement provided we remove/reinstall the array.
Production Guarantee (Optional)
For systems with monitoring enabled, we offer an optional Year-1 Production Guarantee: if your system produces less than 90% of the design estimate due to KW Energy's fault, we will refund the difference at prevailing utility rates. Weather-adjusted using PVWatts® reference data.
Statutory Warranties Preserved
Nothing in this policy limits the implied conditions and warranties under the Ontario Sale of Goods Act or the Consumer Protection Act, 2002. Your statutory rights are in addition to (not in place of) these manufacturer and workmanship warranties.
Exclusions
- Damage from force majeure (lightning, hail beyond Tier-1 panel rating, flood, fire, vandalism)
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs by non-KW-Energy contractors
- Cosmetic wear that does not affect performance
- Damage caused by pests, rodents, or vegetation if homeowner declined critter guard
- Underperformance caused by added shading from new structures or trees post-install
- System abuse (e.g., manually disabling protection devices)
How to File a Claim

- Provide project number, photos/videos of the issue, and best contact times
- We respond within 1 business day with a diagnosis plan
- Emergency safety issues (smoke, sparking, water) — call us immediately and disconnect AC breaker if safe
Warranty Transferability
If you sell your home, the remainder of our workmanship warranty automatically transfers to the new owner at no cost provided we are notified within 30 days of closing.
Full warranty terms are part of your Installation Agreement. In case of conflict between this summary and your signed contract, the contract governs.
